We all know there are many benefits to chiropractic therapy. But did you know that in some parts of the world, and right here in the United States, animals are benefiting from the treatment too?
In this short video, “Dr. Mark” gives a beautiful and well-manner horse named Waylon an adjustment. You can almost feel Waylon’s relief as Dr. Mark methodically works his way from Waylon’s neck to his hips.
And why should we be surprised that animals benefit from chiropractic therapy? Animals experience the same fatigue and strain that humans do. So it only makes sense that they would benefit from the same types of treatment used on humans to relieve aches and pains.
What caught my eye was how Waylon reacted to the doctor’s touch. There was no pulling away or cautious behavior. It was as if the horse knew that the doctor’s touch was a healing touch.
In the end, as we can see in the video, Waylon experienced relief, and that, in and of itself, is an act of kindness.
If only more animal owners were as aware of their animal’s aches and pains, perhaps they might seek out alternative solutions, just like Waylon’s owner.
