REPORT: Study Proves Drinking Coffee Helps You Live Longer

There is good news for those of us who simply need that first cup of coffee in the morning to get started, or who drink coffee throughout the day. And this good news is something that will make us all percolate!

Two new studies have concluded that drinking coffee has positive effects on lifespan! One study took place in Europe and the other included people from the Americas. In both studies, the conclusions were the same.

The first study was conducted by the International Agency for Research on Cancer & the Imperial College London. This survey included more than 520,000 people in 10 countries across Europe. It was the largest study on the connection between coffee and lifespan that Europeans had ever undertaken.

The conclusions of this study were simple and direct: Drinking more coffee significantly reduces the risk of death.

The second study lefts the European continent and focused on 185,000 African Americans, Native Americans, Hawaiians, Japanese Americans, Latinos, and whites. It was conducted by the National Cancer Institute. The conclusion to this study pointed to strong evidence that the boost in mortality from drinking coffee spanned every race.

The European study also found that people who drank coffee had a lower rate of liver, digestive and circulatory disease, and men who drank coffee had a lower rate of suicides, while female coffee drinkers experienced a lower rate of a cancer diagnosis.

Additionally, the European study found that the more coffee you drink, the bigger the health benefits. People who drank three cups of coffee a day had a lower rate of death from all causes than those who did not.

Now, a healthy lifestyle includes moderation in all things, so drinking a gallon of coffee every day may, in fact, have its negative points. But for those who drink coffee as a daily part of their routine, these studies are good news!
